I've read this three times and it still doesn't make sense. The boys didn't retrieve the colt, the vampires took it. And John didn't send them there they found it on their own.
And all Missouris said was that That pboy has some poerful gifts, she didn't (in the episode) say what kind of gifts.
And I don't think that Meg calling the Demon Father means, fahter in the literal sense, more like "God, the Father".
It's pretty obivous the demons have been aware of the hunters for a while. Meg certainly didn't have any trouble finding them.
Just cause we didnt see her say it on screen doesn't mean she didn't tell John. I kinda think the next question out of my mouth if that was said about my son would be...what kind of gifts ?
I asuume the vamps were put into play by Meg...after all this guy is a master hunter and the one thnig he can't protect against and been hiding out from finds him in a bar one night ?
It all comes down to timing for me....It seems rather convinent that the vamps roll into town when they do...."John" gets a lead on where the demon is going to strike next and miraculously the gun (possibly the only thing that can hurt it) is put into play with the death of the old guy. Why hadn't John gotten the gun from the old guy before especially if he had caught its trail? There is way too much smoke for there not to be a fire.
