"because I'm quite a dud when it comes to conversations with men who are massive on the musical/intellectual level because they have the habit of belittling me because I's don't know nothin'"
This is interesting. I'm in the school of thought that says that nobody's opinion about music is any more valid than anyone else's. Having an extensive knowledge about music doesn't mean you have better taste than someone that doesn't.

But you know there exists those people who always have that tone with you when you're talking about music. That "I know more than you" tone. And they're always talking and not allowing you a chance to speak.

I've met lots of them, which is why I'm wary about talking about music or books with anyone.

Yeah I feel you. I've worked at record stores before, and there are definitely people like that

I would think people would have been intimidated around you because you worked in a record store hahaha.

All my uni friends think I should work at a record store because I know all this obscure music, which is not very accurate. I just respond to music very urgently and with passion.

Haha, I know! I took the bus with a bunch of high schoolers, so if anything, they would put their feet on the seats. Yeah, like that will stop me!

I put my feet on the seat on the train, but only if it's half empty. There's a fine if you do it too. It's, like, $200.

That is lame. The fine, that is, not putting your feet on the seat of a half empty train because I do that, too.

We have fine's for everything here but people still do it. I love the night train because it's usually deserted except for some drunk people trying to get home and the people that do night shift.

You've most probably already heard 'Bavarian Fruit Bread' by Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions, but on the off chance you haven't, GET ON IT.

I love the song 'Charlotte' so much.

Hahahaha I was waiting for someone to mention this record. I've heard it.

I'm not surprised that you love that song.
