Summer Dying broke up as of March 6th 2005. Kerry Cripe, though, is currently in a new band called Churchill Downs. They are similar to Summer Dying but more brutal and fast like Dying Fetus meets God Forbid. It sucks that they lost their Bass player and then broke up. But goddamn...there new band is soooooo good!!!! We HAVE to get this mother

The Brick House has a pretty large show area. If Summer Dying could play in the small show room at the old Brycc House, then these guys could definitely play the new show area. Plus, they have to play here. I mean, Churchill Downs... it was meant to be. I know those guys love playing Louisville too.

I'd just like to say that we would love to come play at the new BRYCC HOUSE whenever! SD loved playing in Louisville and I am sure CHD will too. Also, SD didn't break up because of the bassist situation. It was a combination of things. The final straw was when our drummer/main song writer decided he was going to move to Philadelphia to work for Relapse Records. But the Summer Dying break up was on good terms and we are all still friends. In fact Churchill Downs is myself, Braint and Rance of Summer Dying.
