They should have already been well on their guards. We've already learned that this city is constantly pulling tricks. They're ninja, they need to learn to look underneath the underneath. I thought I had taught them that, but I guess I was wrong. Perhaps I need to look over my own teaching.

A ninja needs to be on their guard at all times, and to expect traps. What happens if you're on a mission and the enemy poisons you, and you didn't realize they were going to do that? It could cost you more than a day in bed, sick.

Which just shows how much we need to be on our guard here. If there's something that the city is pulling that we can keep from happening to ourselves, we must try our best to do so. That way, we can all return to Konoha...together.
