Songs: Ohia

I'm developing a deep appreciation for the band Songs: Ohia. Their music is somewhere between folk, alt. country, indie, and classic rock. Neil Young comes to mind, but they’re a lot slower and a lot sadder. They have these incredible, invocative songs, often times with very few lyrics that make five lines do what a lesser song writer would need ( Read more... )

if you use AIM right click on my screen name in your buddy list and select Get File, then you can get whole albums or single songs from me.

they're not one of my favorite bands and I haven't listened to them a whole lot since freshman year of high school or so. A friend burned a mix cd for me with a few of their songs, including Tigress, the song that particularly charmed me.
