Episode 2 -- Int. Survivor: Greek Isles

Andrew trudged angrily through the trees. Their branches slapped at his face and cut his legs. He had his suit jacket draped over his shoulder; it was much too hot and humid to even consider wearing it. Why did I wear this damned suit?, he grumbled to himself ( Read more... )

Should Andrew tell the rest of his tribemates about Kyle’s possible mistake, or should he just continue to follow Kyle into the jungle without saying anything?

--I think Andrew should run up to Kyle and politely (without gaining the attention of the rest of the tribe) say that he thinks they missed a turn and show him what he means on his map.

Should Alex try to suggest that Delphi builds a shelter right now? If so, should he get a team together himself or ask someone else to do it for him? Or should he just begin working on his own, hoping others will help out? Or should he simply keep quiet and enjoy the moment of peace, like the others appear to be doing?

--Alex should silently begin to work alone to get some sort of shelter started so incase of rain he can be thought of as alomost the "hero." Worse case senario: if it doesn't rain then he just seems like a hard worker.

-- Andrew should most definitely say something. If he doesn't, he could be blamed for the wrong turn if he knew better because he didn't say anything. However, he should not be the one to say anything, he should have Dennis point it out to Kyle. That way, if he's wrong, Dennis takes the blame, but if he's right, while he doesn't get credit, it still makes Kyle look bad, which makes Andrew look better.

-- Alex should point out the clouds and suggest that they make a shelter to everyone else. If everyone agrees, Chad might be forced into helping, and if not, then he can just make the shelter himself, and not loose any respect. If it does in fact rain, the other tribe mambers will end up being in debt to him. Those who decided not to help will be put into a sour light.

Do you think Dennis would do it for Andrew? Remember that you have to throw yourself into the position of the other players as well. What would you do if Andrew asks Dennis to say something, and Dennis refuses?

no no, not ask it as a personal favor, just as a casual mentioning of it. like dennis said "tell them and lets get to camp." after a few more minutes, andrew could say "hey why don't you go show kyle that turn on the map its been a while" that way its not so much of a favor or a question as a manipulation. there's no room for saying no.

Andrew and Dennis should go and talk to Kyle together and suggest the other route. That way, if Kyle works w/ them, it'll be good team effort, and benefit everyone involved, but if not, at least it doesn't specifically pit Andrew and Kyle against each other. It would behove Andrew to maintain his rapport w/ Dennis, esp. if Kyle seems to be trying to grab influence right away.

Alex should definitly try to get a shelter built, but maybe take like 10 minutes or so chilling w/ the rest of the tribe, chatting w/ them, and if he gets along particularly well w/ one or two members, bring up that they should start building a shelter and ask for their help. If they go along w/ it, then great....they are working as a team and helping out the tribe....but if no one is willing to pitch in, he should smile and say "well, I'm going to go get started on one in case it rains--feel free to join!" and then he just looks like someone w/ initiative who cares about the tribe.
