The water in the pool yesterday was not at all clear. It was way more on the green and murky side. So I left home this morning ready to swim but with expectations low. I got there early. Seeing the hanging pots on someone else's balcony, ordering them from your phone while on the bus, to having them delivered within 24 hours - priceless. I hope you enjoy the hell out of your hanging pots.

I will say that dirty pool water could have amoeba in it, so I would be careful about it. Maybe give them a call tomorrow to find out if they've cleaned yet. My former boss lost one of her eyes to an amoeba infection (infestation?) and it took several years.

Do you have earplugs as well as goggles? I think the difference when people swim in dirty ponds is that they tend to just go in for short time and keep their head above water. Doing laps will probably get a lot more of the water into your orifices, so keeping them covered up is probably safer if you are concerned. Alternatively, could you breast stroke?

I have earbuds in my ears for music so yep. And, of course goggles. I am the world's worst breast stroker and plus my neck would snap off after about 5 mins. Here's hoping they just fix it!

My observation is that, as a general rule, shows that hang around for a decade or more gradually deteriorate. E.R. was something of an exception, in part I think because they had near-total cast turnover every few years.
