I've just seen a man walk through what will be the master bedroom into the ensuite bathroom ( Read more... )

Yikes! My heart would be thumping, too. I know there's nothing to fear, but I think I'd probably still sleep with the light on for a bit.

One WOULD assume that he'd be an old-fashioned-looking man! How odd that he's contemporary!

Yes, it's odd.
I thought we had a burglar, so had to go confront the bastard, but there was something not right about that. I knew before I got there that the bathroom would be empty.

I don't believe in ghosts but.... holy shit!! Maybe I'm wrong.
That is so spooky.

I've seen things before, so that's why I always say I believe in ghosts - but not in the scary, spooky type image.

I can't explain it and certainly don't understand it. It's almost like an accidental sighting of something. Random, chance sightings.
I know what I saw and the adrenaline rush made me shake like a leaf.
You know my house - it's old but it has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Not anything spooky or creepy.
Weird.

I'll go ahead and say this anyway and you can think me weird (or weirder) ... but, is there some 'ghost expert' you can call to look at your house? Someone who isn't a flim-flam artist or scammer? I remember you posting something about Lucy being frightened about some ... thing, don't recall exactly what, though. We took a vacation this summer to San Antonio, Texas which has a few hotels that are advertised as haunted. And my niece was there at the same time, and she told me some stories of things that happened to them while they stayed in one, and the history of the place. The owners had to remodel one room completely to get rid of one ghost.

I don't know of any 'ghosthunter' really. I did work with a male nurse who is a medium and seems perfectly genuine, but he lives in Sheffield and I haven't worked with him for months. I would only feel comfortable asking someone like him. There are so many wannabe 'psychics' out there.

Lucy was scared last year, she felt that something was watching her in her bedroom and some odd things happened around her. At the time I felt it coincided with her puberty and is over with now anyway. She hasn't been scared for months.

I'm not scared or worried at all. I mean, I was last night because I thought someone had broken into the house while I was out walking the dog, then it was just a shivery sort of 'what the heck?!' feeling. I must say though that the dog just barrelled on past and didn't seem to notice anything. :)

He'd better not show himself again though!

I'm a big time believer in ghosts and spirits still roaming this side. I'm very interested in the subject, but I have no doubt that if I ever actually saw a spirit, I'd scream like a little girl and run the other way. LOL!
