Neat! I didn't stick around and try to catch him afterward when I went, I'd read somewhere that he doesn't often spend time with fans when he's heading home. It's good to know that isn't necessarily the case.
Also a general FYI - the security guards are very anti-graffiti. If they catch you writing on the walls there they will kick you out and put you on some kind of bannination list. When I went in October some kid in line next to me was about to start writing on the wall and a security guy came over and politely but firmly explained the no writing on the wall policy.
I think Stephen stops for fans as long as it isn't a huge bunch of people. He's really genuinely nice in person as you'd expect him to be. I didn't want to take up too much of his time so just got him to sign my bit of paper and take the photo, didn't bother starting banter because I knew he wanted to go home.
Regarding the wall writings: there were a heck of a lot of recent ones (there was one from last week when Vampire Weekend was on and one from after the Conan thing) so they don't catch everyone. The recent ones were further down the wall though. But there are still a lot and I think it's nice that they have a wall full of people's memories of going to the show. That's why I'm also sad that you don't get to leave notes in tickets anymore as it was a connection to the person before you which was real cool.
I really liked the notes on the wall too, it was fun reading the comments (and there was at least one cartoon drawing of Stephen that was great). I would just hate for a fan to get busted!
I've always wanted to! It's one of those things where you're like "oh, it's so close, I could go any time I want!" and then because of that you keep putting it off.
Just outside the studio. The first awning with the C on it is the main entrance/exit door for staff so they all come out there. I met him just there and before he got in his car.

I want to see another taping for sure... <3 Great pictures! I was so tempted to write on the wall when I was there.
