BBC Eagle of the Ninth

Continuing on from a previous post, I though people might be interested in seeing some screen captures from the BBC 70s version of Eagle of the Ninth, including most of the main characters (complete with very 70s hair and facial hair!).

I have the copy John sent; I've converted and coded it with VLC and HandBrake - the version is mpeg4 and plays beautifully on my mac and my pc. It won't play on my dvd players - I have the original version and can probably make a few copies of that for those who need it playable on a tv/

It's all one file; all 6 episodes follow one another with no break. I hope to fiddle around and edit the file but that may take time; I've not done this before - this is all a new tech world for me. I may try to record each episode separately, convert them, and load a dvd with all 6, if it will fit - the full converted file is about 6G.

Anyway, I have a file that will play on computers very well. I told John I'd send this to people in the US. If you want a copy send me your name and address - I'll check my LJ OpenId mail as well as my Dreamwidth mail. If I can get a better version, with episode chapters, I'll let you all know.

Oh, thanks very much for sharing! These are quite interesting and entertaining.
Esca looks a lot older than Marcus, what with that facial hair. I like that Marcus has the Mithras scar - in the new film he doesn't, if I remember right.
All the characters look aged up, really. And the Celts are so clean! : p Too bad Placidus was lost!
