Oh my
I just got an email from someone I sang with back in 2008. We were in Sullivan's "The Rose of Persia" together. She is stage managing "The Mikado" and wants me to come out and audition for it. Apparently they've already heard some people and are now putting out the word for more singers.

In other news...
It's hard to be cross with your toddler for not coming when called when his stall tactic is to start up some music and dance with glee. So instead of scolding him I just took his hand and we danced towards the stairs. (I was calling him so we could go upstairs for naps.) It's so hard to know how to handle discipline! I mean to say that it's ok to complain but not all the time. It's normal to complain! Oh hell, I think I'll be understood.

I have a raging rash and an equally raging UTI. My ankles are swollen. My belly looks scarred from all the stretch marks. For all this I know I've had it easy. I really hate hearing women complain about their pregnancies. You're growing a new life. It's a privilege. I do see it that way. Still...I'll be glad to meet my baby.
