Plumbing sucks. :( Way to go on doing it yourself! We have a long running joke in my family that plumbing makes my dad turn into a monster. "Plumbing makes Dave angry!" :-p
I'm ashamed to admit that I was a total bitch to my husband who was waiting by the side of the sink to hand me things. When I tell you that this guy is un-handy, and non spatial, I am NOT kidding. Part of my exasperation is that once I'm under the sink, I'm literally pinned down by the waste lines, and my arms about 1/2" too short to effectively reach the faucet. (Plus, because of how the apron sink is designed, the space near the faucet is very tight and hard to get tools into.) His arms are SO long - he wears a 37 sleeve! But I knew I'd never be able to explain to him what to do under there.
Its coming together beautifully. Faucet looks perfect, glad all that obsessing paid off! :) The counters look great but for some reason I thought you had decided on green. Floors also look very nice. So is the end in sight? I can't imagine how excited you'll be to have this all behind you!
I WAS considering a kind of green granite briefly, but you guys all talked me out of it! (And I'm so glad.)
I suppose the end is in sight, but the rest is really DIY. I had to wait so long for the soapstone, but now I can do the walls (tile and wainscot) doors, trim, etc.
Behind me? I feel like we'll always be doing *something* to the house. Don't forget I still have a basement playroom to do!
