you write lonely things and i see you in my mind's eye walking down rock springs wearing your green german coat and looking like you did that first winter, when you had long hair and the goatee thing, and you're smiling and looking around, eyes wide, walking toward me. the light is blue and orange and everything looks shiny and it smells like fall, piles of oak leaves.

you should come to my house or call me or something something. my mother's gone for the week, and i am off today. and also slightly hungover, debating whether to drink more water, or just get an early start on tonight's drinking. don't worry, i'm kidding, sorta.

where's my email, eh?

i think i'll wash my hair today. like you needed to know that. my alarm is going off.

why not?
your email hasn't been written yet. where's my email? you're the one with the computer 17 steps from your bed! yes, 17, i counted once.

oh.
yes, thurday and friday, and yes you should call, and yes.
i only said i was kidding because it looked bad, but actually, after half a glass of wine, the unhappy stomach of Hangover evil persuaded me that drinking should be avoided for a couple days.
okay, then, i'll write you one.
did you really? i'll have to do so myself, now.
