There have been so many tags written for this episode to explain why Sam seemed so cold to Dean's fearful state and generally unconcerned about him possibly dying again that I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who had a problem with it. I would think the whole way Sam has been behaving this season is either a PTS numbness after having lost Dean so many times that maybe he just can't let himself fully reconnect to him and we'll have a big chick flick moment at some point, or Sam's just become a very different person after months of playing with evil and having a demon whispering sweet nothings in his ears. We all hope for the former, but honestly outside of fanfic I haven't seen any signs of it yet. I mean I'm not sure if he could show less enthusiasm for having his brother back, less need to be honest with or listen to the brother who went to hell for him, or less concern for his life and his feelings. I mean sitting on the trunk at the end waiting for Bobby he looked less like a man with like an hour left to save his brother's

That really bugged me too! I'm sure we'll have some kinda explanation soon, but...

That's the scene that got to me most too - I know people explain it away with Sam being all professional and keeping his cool, but that isn't how it came over.
