This is not really news to me; I've known for many months that I would be moving to Caen after my contract finished at cern.
But now I am in the middle of panicked packing and I keep finding yarn stashes!

(Also, I may have lived 'across the border' in France for the past two years. Still: AAAAARGH I am MOVING to FRANCE!)

 Got parents and nephew on a skype video call for the first time today. Rough start but eventually we got both sound and picture working - in both directions.
And nephew seemed to get a kick out of it, just as I had hoped. 

Still in Sweden.  It is nice when it is sunny, and I have seen Hepatica nobilis as well as Anemone nemorosa. So I guess I didn't leave Geneva at the height of spring to miss spring completely in Sweden ( Read more... )

I am back in Sweden for easter. The plan is to help dad with a loft conversion, and play with nephew. Have made a start on both, but much left to do. Not stepped through the ceiling yet anyway and I hope we will get the floor done without any such incident.

I had icicles in my hair this morning. I took care to thaw my hair before bending any of it.

Headed home for chrismas today. The flight was very early, and I packed very late...
But one nap and one soak in a jacuzzi later and I am feeling ok again.

Quite a long time ago now I found the site for Smart bitches who love trashy books. It is gold. And since then whenever I want a good giggle I just remember The Flute of Love...
