Not much happening...
I really don't have anything interesting to write today, it's been another one of those days that have gone by without leaving a mark in memory. I was working in the afternoon, one of our "inmates" was in a particularly bad mood and was swearing and ranting because we didn't help him enough. Now he weighs at least 150kg so excuse me if I can't lift ( Read more... ) -
Dizzy heads...
I work in a nursing home, not the most glamorous job in the world but I actually like it a lot. I didn't think it would be "my kinda thing" but I enjoy it, even if it's demanding and even though the "oldies" don't always appriciate our help. I guess growing old and confused is never easy! Late night thoughts...
Like so often during these late night music sessions in front of the computer I get sad...and I feel lonely and angry. It's been three years and I'm still struggling to get back on track. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever be able to fall in love again, if I will ever allow myself to open my heart and let someone in, and risk the same thing ( Read more... ) -
Mud and darkness is not a good combination!
When I finish work it's dark outside, and I always always forget to bring a flash light. So I have to walk home through the forest in the darkness and hope I won't get lost. I know the path quite well but it's one thing walking there during the day and a whole different thing at night, in pitch darkness. I can see the trees, but not the ground, and ( Read more... ) -
Rain Rain Rain
We never went riding today...the rain was lashing down and none of us felt like getting soaked and dirty, or getting the DOGS soaked and dirty. So I've been lazing around all day, the dogs refused to leave the house all morning but in the afternoon I carried Ruby outside and we went for a brisk walk up the hill and back again, around the stables ( Read more... ) -
Back to work!
I'm back to work again, worked this afternoon and will be working friday-saturday-sunday and wednesday-thursday-friday next week. Sadly one of the ladies passed away on sunday, but I guess we'll get a new "inmate" soon enough. I haven't been working there for more than a few weeks so I don't know the people very well yet. On the phone all day!
It feels like I've been on the phone all day today. And I got nothing done. Updated the website with three new dogs, and then realised there are two more to get up there but I haven't the energy to do it today ( Read more... ) -
A busy weekend
I'm finally back home again after a hectic time in Stockholm. On Saturday I entered Ruby into a fun dog show, unfortunatly the judge turned out to be a woman who doesn't like me much after I threatened to involve the police when she refused to give us money for a dog she rehomed for us.
