I've just got to say I agree with every part of this letter you have written.

This show is still brilliant, fantastic, AMAZING. And Jones... When I saw that there was a literal jaw drop on my part.

But seriously, trying to keep track of the universes is insane. And the characters within 'em? You've got Olivia, alt!Olivia, alt-alt!Olivia and alt-alt-alt!Olivia?

Don't get me wrong, I kind of love these universes that never had a better beyond his childhood, but seriously, how are they planning on tying this back to the very original universe and its counterpart?

I mean someone (might have been you...) suggested it's possible the universes we're seeing are in fact the original ones, just with Peter removed from the time line, but who knows for sure...

Come on Fringe, move along!

Blue-rewritten was what I wanted in the beginning, until I realized how many great episodes that would ret-con (basically all of them). Now I definitely don't want that. Option two would be having amber be blue and red rewritten, and then reverting them somehow (by writing Peter back in). Even though it still erases history, it's not history that we saw, and a lot of what we've seen in S4 could be thought of as our original Red and Blue (they'd only need to rewrite up to Peter's reappearance).

Honestly, the thing I'd miss most about that scenario would be the ability to realistically ship S4!Blonde!Olivia with her Lincoln. (The thing I'd miss the least would be the ridiculous names I have to use to make myself clear.)

I agree. I would hate for most of the history to be ret-conned. If they revert that would be fine. But they'd have to be careful how they did so or they'd ruin the whole thing and I certainly don't want that too happen.

I do love S4!Blonde!Olivia and her Lincoln. I'm kind of shipping 'em too.

I'm was half convinced that Jones was just as insane as Moriarty, but now it looks like he has a giant universe spanning plan?

AHHH ALT!BROYLES and NINA? I can't decide that if Nina is 1) a shapeshifter, 2) working as partners with Jones, or 3) the mastermind behind this plan or 4) if she's just acting as a proxy for Bell, who's actually behind all of it. Or how long that she's been secretly dosing Olivia and stopping dates with Lincoln with Cortexiphan. But that also asks why she'd be dosing Olivia, if they can already cross universes? Or why Jones feels the need to make a giant Dalek reality bomb?Or why Alt!Broyles, whom I'm working under the assumption is not a shapeshifter, is working with Jones

Olivia, Alt!Livia, Amber!Olivia, Amber!Alt!Livia? The thing is, if you're talking to someone not on the system, they'll likely assume that "Olivia" means "Amber!Livia".

That's true...You could refer to her as Blue!Olivia, or PreAmber!Olivia, just for clarification. I tend to refer to Amber!Olivia as Olivia, since it is the current incarnation, and the past incarnation as PreAmber!Olivia
