go and ask the chemist for some anbesol liquid. Thats like a local anasthetic that you can put on your gums. It might not work too well, but its worth a try.

Painkillers - get nurofen plus thats ibuprofen with added codeine take 2 of those every 4 hours and then after 2 hours take 2 paracetamol. Ibuprofen isn't as damaging to your liver as paracetamol. Also there are 800mg ibuprofens that are precribable, so I figure taking 4 at once can't kill you.

I know all this because I used to work in a chemist, and I've had terrible toothache. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you!!
I am enjoying the nurofen plus, but the 2 hours on paracetamol are hellish. I keep hoping this can't go on too long, but the pharmacist cheerily told me that I've got two weeks to go! YAY!

DIHYDROCODEINE.
My mum got this when she kneecapped herself on her steering column; it's generally prescription only for post-operative pain but you can actually buy it in Boots at a lower dosage - I think coupled with paracetamol. I nearly killed Saff with a half tablet since she's the size of a small child. It's rad.

Alternatively, root out someone with a Diazepam prescription - mentals and the old are good for this. It won't stop it hurting, but you won't care.

Oh yes, and if you actually turn up at A&E and cry on the carpet they'll generally give you a stronger anti-inflammatory, which is nice.

Our local boots had no dihydrocodeine, but they did look at me like a junkie, which is always nice. IS THE GIANT FACE NOT A GIVEAWAY OF MY AILMENT??
I was tempted to crawl into a&e the night I had it done, but the thought of having to sit about in such pain for four hours before being sent away empty handed didn't appeal.

I definitely think mugging a mental. Typical me to get sane just in time, huh?

I was given Diazepam on holiday in Turkey when I tore a ligament in an accident. They were wonderful and didn't make me care about the searing pain.

Oil of cloves perhaps? Haha, I can just see you telling me where to stick that.

Carl's Mum went under gaeneral ansethetic in hospital to have hers taken out!
