Okay don't think that the only reason I'm commenting on this entry as opposed to the selected few that I don't comment on is because I'm just wanting to stay on your friends list. Actually something stuck out to me... perhaps the bold text in which you wrote it.
I think it's great that you write for you and not for anyone else... but then I wonder why it bothers you what other people think of it. I really don't know your situation and so am not making any judgments here. As it is you put a lot of entries in your "Friends Only" section so I don't see what the difference is about posting regular posts as well. If it's selected people you're worried about, doesn't IPayForLiveJournal give you some option for blocking certain readers? I expect that if you pay for the service, at least they should give something back to you.
Yes, I have the option to filter friends and what not.
... my thing is the people who don't have Livejournal and still read mine. Hence, this one particualar anonymous person who has commented on this entry as an example -- this person wasn't even a reason for making all my stuff private, but still serves as a prime example.
Quick question -- are you which animal are you? Sheep or deer? Haha.
I don't know you in person, but I always like reading your LJ. I appreciated the pictures, especially the pictures of persian delight and sweets (mmmmmhhhh...) haha. However, I understand very well your step, and you are not the only one to make your LJ friends-only. How about the use of the friends group feature? I use it a lot. you can have entries visible to a certain group of friends only. By the way... I haven't checked if you already have turned everything private/friends only, but in case you have not, there's a nice script to bulk modify all or a big number of entries at once instead of changing them manually.
shit girl. its a good thing i read this entry...keep me in the club. i hate being friends only. but i guess its the safest way. especially when the wrong ppl knowabout lj. i had a policy of not telling anyone i knew in real life, but then i broke that, and now im stuck with a "friend" i cant get rid of who i really dont want knowing my secrets...but i filter anyway usually so its no biggie.
Haha, you know I'd keep you on even if you didn't reply to this. It's funny though -- after I took everyone off my friends list, I've slowly watched about 10 people take me off already. That's good though... it only helps me more in showing who actually is a "friend" or whatever, you know?
P.S. How's studying coming along? Are you still alive?

I actually do use the friends group feature, but still -- it doesn't help for the "non-LJ friends" that read.
Also, what's the script that I could use for bulk modification on my entries?
