So where's our plucky young hero been lately? Two guesses, and 'the hospital' doesn't count. I'd win, but the guess'd be right. Eff the week and a day i had to spend in Kennestone for, as my doctor said, "Er...um...i...ugh...idunno. I really have no idea." i have to go to Duke on Friday. That's 14 hours in a car with my parents to spend maybe an hour and a half (plus wait time) seeing doctors. My doctor suggested i go see a liver specialist at Emory. Done that. So my dad sent a letter (from me apparently) to his doctor, Dr. Yonda (which i love saying aloud and works at Emory), asking if i should go ( Read more... )

So now my doctor is saying that a) i don't need a liver transplant now (which is good because it was estimated in cost at about 200,000 of the American monies i don't have) and b) that i don't have Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis as was previously thought by around 6 different doctors. Another week and a half in the hospital. At this point, all talks are pointing to liver transplant. Not much i can really say...

So i went to the ER this morning. It sucked as usual. According to the doctor, my liver functions were fine. however, when we were leaving, we took a look at the copy of the sheet, at least 4 of the tests showed my levels to be too high, one of them being triple what it should be. doctors... screw them.
