I'm sorry to hear that you went through this too. I feel so sad that I am not beside her, but I think it's best for me too. I got to see her last week when I was home, and it was a nice visit and she got to play with Juulia so that made her so happy.
If you dont' mind my asking, how did your grandma die?
Thanks again Sarah.

well...she was 92 and literally died naturally..just basically her system shut down slowly, sounds gross but you just stop going pee, etc..your skin turns yellower..she stopped eating and we were like.why won't you eat? and she said it was like she literally could NOT eat..that must be a weird feeling.
so technically i guess old age.i just remember looking at her all morning and her heart was beating..and it was really weird when it stopped..
i was like this is too weird.

Oh Gabe, I wish I had the right things to say. Know that I am here for you if you need me. My family went through the same situation with my grandfather. It is tough..I won't lie. Just try and be strong and cherish all the time you can with your grandmother, whether it be through phone calls or visits. Stay strong and know that your friends are here for you

she isn't going to last that long, it's literally a matter of minutes and hours which can be a few days. when she goes off dialysis the fluid builds up in her body and stops her heart, so she will die peacefully and in her sleep. they didn't think she'd make it through friday night so it's pretty brave of her to be still fighting. but i won't get to see her again or talk to her. she's really out of it.
thanks for your post.
