In light of the major hype about Lost coming back in five days, I decided to ask a couple of my friends why they liked (or disliked in a couple cases) Jate and then I thought, well, why not find out what the rest of my flist thinks about the subject ( Read more... )

I'm just drawn to them. They work. And whoever said it is totally right, they wouldn't have met without the plane crash. It is fate.

Wow. I love lists.

Those are all amazing reasons. #7 and #10 are my favorites. Jate does have this awesome connection thing and they always find a way to surprise each other but in a good way.

Yes, Franci is a very smart girl and she's pretty much a Jexpert (LOL that's supposed to mean "jate expert", but it sounds like Jex expert. teehee).
Franci, you amazing me with every new thing you say about Jate.
That's another thing I love about them: the people who love Jate. We are an amazing group of shippers and I love that we can be so silly (like me above) and squee-ing one minute and all serious and intellectual and mushy the next. heh. Oh, and most of us are big on the angst too! ;-) Some of us are pervs too lmao *raises hand* Oh, I bet we all are some just hide it! *wink*

I never thought about the order in which they met before but I like that. JJ had them in mind from the beginning and I think Damon did too, no matter what he says now.

I think in addition to the bad timing on their parts (they always seem to discuss their relationship when much more important things are going on and they get sidetracked), the writers don't want to bring them together until the end of the show because once they get together, people'll stop watching. Notice how they don't care about throwing Skate together though. :D

If you do think of anymore, I'll be more then happy to hear them.

Maybe the writers are holding out on the Jate sex because they know that no one'll watch the show once the best couple ever gets together.

Kate and Sawyer are much more of the friends/sibling thing.

Lol. I've never seen the whole sex scene all the way through. Thank God for TiVo and being able to fast forward through things.

It seems that Sawyer can't hold a relationship. His past is a con man, and as they say,"a tiger doesn't change his stripes." So he will not change. Which means when he falls in love, he soon has to leave. He may be conning Kate. :O

I love Jate because they look so cute together and they have that attraction to be together. It's undescribable.(sp?)

I love Foxy and Evie. You can tell that they're both pro Jate but then again, I would be too if I were them. They get to pretend to do each other. ;)

Haha yeah! Tell me about it! Jack isn't a JERK. Sawyer can be one alot of the times...plus Jack is hotter! :D
