So good to see a post from you, and I am happy to see your whole family doing well. We were hit hard with this economy and are only getting by because my husband has his police pension. Although he never would have left the department when he did, had he known that the job he was recruited for would terminate as it did. So, we have both been out of work since January. What a long 6 months! We just pray the kids keep their jobs since we no longer have the funds to help when they need it, something that really saddens me because I always was helping out in the past ( ... )

thanks, and thanks for filling me in. I'm sorry to hear about your husbands job but thankfully you have his pension. What exactly is this new business you are starting?

I understand how you feel about being able to help out your kids when they need it. My oldest son still works at the science school which means he is out of work durring the summer months and he hasn't been able to find any work. There are no jobs right now. His wife works full time but still it's hard to make ends meet.He doesn't go back to work until the end of August. In the meantime we do what we can.
Sorry to hear about your youngest son but I agree he's better off. All we want is for them to be happy healthy and financially self sufficient :)

There is nothing like being a grandparent! It's the best thing in the world.

you know it! it's better than I ever imagined :) I am so thankful that Nick and Susan live as close as they do. I can't imagine not being able to see Penelope everyday.

I do hope you check in more often. Your posts are always uplifting.

Now you need to post some pics of all these wonderful trips.
