So today, my chem professor took me aside after class and asked me why i laughed when he, in class, had asked if some of us had considered swiching our major from nursing to chemistry. Kim that is so exciting!
I think that you should do whatever you think you want to do- maybe you've never wanted to be a doctor because like you said you didn't think it was an option for you, but guess what! It is an option and if you want to try it, then you definitely should!

But, at the same time, if you don't think it's your thing, then stick with what you've always wanted to do.

I know that didn't help, but regardless, for a professor to approach you with an opportunity like that is amazing and you should feel proud of yourself :)
