Mom went into surgery around 8:15am...Nurse came out at 10am to tell us that she had a developing aortic aneurysm that should probably be worked on while they were in there, so we signed off on the paperwork and were told it would add two hours to the surgery. They have a system where the nurse can leave a message by phone every hour or two so you ( Read more... )

My aunt called a little after I posted to let me know that the extra bleeding was stopping so they were going to run some tests to decide if they could wake her up tonight. If they did, it'll be a huge step. I'll know in a few hours :)

Well...if it wasn't done, she'd die. You have to look at it that way.

I hate hospitals, but I seem to be dealing nicely.

Glad to hear everything went okay with the surgery. Hope shes back to 100% as quickly as possible!
