Does anyone have any suggestions for good breakup songs?

No, Aaron and I are NOT breaking up. I have to analyze a breakup song for my interpersonal relationships class and I came to the realization a few hours ago that I don't really listen to any emo type breakup music. Suggestions would be appreciated.

when I had to do it, I did "Two OUt of Three Ain't Bad" by Meatloaf. Cause no one else was coll enough (or lame, I guess). It's a blast from the past, and the teacher appreciated it while everyone else was doing N*Sync and Backstreet Boys and shit

You don't have to be emo to listen to a break up song. One of the happiest breakup songs is "Pennies" by them Smashing Pumpkins, but here are some others, some of which I'd recomend more than others:

"Cryin'" - Aerosmith
"Heartbreak Hotel" - Elvis Presley
"Tiki God" - Presidents of the USA
"Hell And High Water" - Rainer Maria
"Gone To The Movies" - Semisonic
"Meladori Magpie" - Smashing Pumpkins
"Losing A Whole Year" - Third Eye Blind
"Breakin' Up" - Violent Femmes

Anyway, those all have words about breaking up, but some have an empowerment or revenge vibe and others are the sad kind of stuff you're looking for. Probably "Gone To The Movies" best fits what you're looking for, but there's always "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do". That might be a little bit on the nose though.
