An Open Post for My Baby Boy, Charlie

Jul 29, 2008 13:42

So, while Charlie was with me these last few weeks, he decided to dye his hair BLUE. Not *my* favorite color ;D but as I told him, who cares, it's not *my* hair. Even Grandy said "whatever, it's HIS hair."

Well, last night he went back to his father who was less than pleased, but seemed to handle it well.

And then...The Stepmother saw It.

um, wow, she really does think everything is about her doesn't she?

Oh my goodness, blue hair?! What will the neighbors think?! GASP!

It's only hair, he's a good boy, she needs to remove the pole from her, well, you know.

An over reaction to say the LEAST. Sounds like this woman needs some serious counseling, medication, *ss whooping or all three!

It also sounds like she has control issues.

I say she waaay over reacted. I remember dressing up like Boy George and Madonna and I turned out, well, OK :-) snark...

And then she stormed up to her room where she stayed for the rest of the night.

Excuse me? Who is the teenager here?

Sounds like the Stepmonster and the Asshole Ex deserve each other.

Not a parent yet, as you know, but my strategy for the future hair dye question is that if Miss Thang wants to dye her hair that's fine, but she gets to wait and grow it out if she doesn't like it.

P.S. I'm glad that you and Samantha had a lovely talk!

I, for one, am SHOCKED and APPALLED that you would let your male progeny dye his hair blue! Only the Amish would dye their hair such a hue.

Everyone knows purple is the coolest hair color.

Mohawks, fauxhawks, shaved, sculpted, Pillarbox Red, Blue, and every other color of the rainbow and every other kind of not-so-conservatively-normal hair style. What the frack does "she" think a 15yo is going to do with himself (there are other things to contemplate here but really - does "she" want to go there). (I knew it was a crisis of mass proportions when the cat & dog thing was mentioned - OMG) :oP

It is a 15yo job in life to cause angst to parental units. That is the so called life of a teenager. Tell "herself" to suck it up and get over it. (Not that my mums would have enjoyed blue - but she did accept the pseudo-blond and the Black No1 (goth/punk lives!) - the roughest thing she had to deal with was getting my ear pierced. Sheesh.

There is a time for everything - and at 15 - WHAT BETTER TIME!

Go Chazmo - YOU ROCK.

Note: to the Mum - you rock too - cause you let your kids do cool things like that and they still pull in A/B's and all that stuff mothers could love.

BTW - "herself" is only jealous because people will notice Blue a lot faster than they will notice her - and notice it for its uniqueness whereas I'm sure she will jsut blend into the backgroud - WHERE SHE BELONGS.
