I picked up a leaflet from the RNID that gave details of their telephone hearing check service.

It's not free (charged at the local rate), and I only tested my left ear, but I am reassured that my hearing (in one ear, at least) is within the normal range.

• Row on the way home about who was doing the dishes (tons of 'em, left in the sink overnight)(it's decided that it's my turn)
  
• Came home to fridge that had been accidentally turned off overnight

I don't know the facts, and I don't watch the show, but hearing secondhand news about the 'race bullies' (as the Daily Mail calls them) has upset me. Why are people so mean? Why are they so stupid?
