I walked to the bus this morning when the sky was still a dusky grey and the streetlights still glowed a fading yellow. As I walked, the leaves fell around me like rain. My roommate read this out to me tonight, and I felt tears sparkle in my eyes:

The shooting star, burdened with too many dreams, fell to the ground. The child saw, so she said to the star, "Let me share some of your dreams, for I have not grown up yet, and I am still strong enough to carry them."

I think I'm going to have to buy a new copy of the Rent soundtrack sometime in the not-too-distant future. I've had mine since I was fourteen, and I'm quite certain those two discs are by far the most listened-to CDs in my entire collection. They're starting to skip now, from being loved too much.

I just realized that I completely missed a lecture that one of my favourite profs was giving this afternoon on (wait for it!) Battlestar Galactica. It was in my agenda and everything, but I forgot because I took a nap instead.

This saddens me. This saddens me greatly.

On Tuesday, February 27th, COME TO THE UBC PLAYERS CLUB'S FIRST ANNUAL THEATRE FESTIVAL!

The dazzlingly fabulous Alexander Keurvorst and I will be performing in an amusing little one-act play entitled "Afterglow". The show begins at 8 pm at the Norm Theatre in the SUB at UBC, and tickets are only $3!
