Eeee, spontaneous weddings! I can imagine how stressful that is, pulling one off on such short notice with less than cooperative people, but put it this way - you can go through with it now and get it done your way, or you can postpone it until a time when people are more cooperative (how likely is this, really?) at which point the expenses will go up, the time to plan will go up, and the stress will go up. I think this sounds like a wonderful idea and I hope it pans out for you two. :)
