I imagine how it is for my grandma, who sits alone all day. Well, she has friends come over occassionally from down the hall or the other floors or floor eleven because that's where Luba lives, but it isn't the same. The mock trial competition went very well. We were defence both times and we won the case both times. However, we're not really marked on the case so much as on our performance, so we find out our score on Thursday. I met some nice people. I wore a blazer. Our improv team competed with 9 teams and placed 2nd to Dr. Denison, a school that went to nationals last year and placed 7th in the whole country. We were so excited. This is my favourite team so far; it honestly feels like a family (disregard the cheese, please). Then, we went to finals and had a really bad night. Really bad. We finished in ( Read more... )

I rang in the New Year at Stephanie's party. It had its highs, lows, and teenage melodrama (but none that i was involved in). The night wouldn't have been complete without Steph's weird U.S. relatives, so, thankfully, the party had that, too. I came home at around 1:30AM because i didn't really want to sleep over and we all opened presents.

I spent the day downtown with Marcie and Ariel (bohemian_frog & spiffy_airhead, respectively). We watched Transamerica, which i absolutely adored.
