I use PS CS. Translatable, I think.
to
1. Get your picture. Crop. Sharpen.
2. Duplicate your base. Set to Screen. Opacity depends on you.
3. Use this texture by me.
4. Get a smaller size of your pic. (In other words, resize it.)
5. Drag it to your icon.
6. Use this texture by me.
7. Pick your magic wand tool. Select the white part. Go to Layer 3. Right click the one selected. Select inverse. Delete (from your keyboard).
8. Go back to layer 4. Set to sreen.
10. Flatten image.
11. Follow this coloring by
winged_requiem .
12. Flatten image again.
13. Use this texture by me again. Se to Screen.
14. Add brushes/text.
WE'RE DONE. FINALLY!
