This is an amazingly well written entry, Megan. Amazing. You should save it somewhere so you will always have it. I agree with everything you have said completely. I just don't understand what people were thinking when they filled in the "yes" circle on the ballot. I mean, what happened to the US being the most free country in the world? This no longer can be held to be true. Thanks for writing this.

yes, the proposal is kinda sucky. but, its not discrimination to gays. It also affects straight people too. Before proposal 2, there was a way where straight couples(non married) could get bennefits from each other. So it takes away the straight peoples right. So...i wouldn't call it discrimination because it affects all of us. But yes, it in fact does suck ass!

i know exactly how you feel. it's so sad that our voters came out in huge numbers because of theological rhetoric used by the republican party. this is not about god, morals, or religion. an election is about the issues--major issues like taxes, health care, and other things. Yes, gay rights are an issue, but to base your vote on whether or not God says it's okay...
