Feb 18, 2006 23:28

The article this time is really short, I promise. XD Sorry for the long delay, but here's chapter 2.

He talks a little bit more about REDEMPTION and the collaboration with FF7. ^^ I hope you'll enjoy the article~

*notices* the interviewer is called Sachie thats one 'c' away from me XD

um anyways
YAY! another fab translation ^^

I'm really glad you explained the 6th question down's answer *was lost* XD

I feel from personal experience that the emptier your mind is, the greater your imagination will be. Reading too many things influences the way I think and makes me want to copy it. Without me realizing, my ideas start to revolve around the same theme and I can't break free from it. Hmmmm. Most interesting. :3 *introspects* XD

I know what you (and he) means, sometimes the more you know the less creative you are, but on the other hand often things I read/see etc lead to ideas... *is conflicted*
would be nice to get rid of all the influence and see what comes out tho ne!? XD
kinda like zen painters I guess
*goes to paint black circles* XD

ah I'm always fascinated to read about his creative process ^^

should be pretty interesting year with all his exciting plans and possible plans X3

thanks for the translation! *hugglies* ^^

XD;; I was wondering when you would notice, my dear~

:D Thanks!! I'm glad you like it. ^^ Ahaha, I didn't realize the connection myself until I was translating the last sentence. I think my brain still works better in English. ._.;;

Ahahahahahaha.... XD Yeap, I know just what that means. X3 It's through reading and getting exposed to more things that inspiration comes... but doing too much of it affects your creative thinking as well. Darn confusing minds. Make up your mind! *bites brain* XD XD

You are most welcome, dearie~ ^^

XD This is a long comment. *pats you* Well done, mate! XDD

heh, you know, i like how he's always so sure of himself yet knows when to be modest again. he's not an arrogant man, yah? he's just someone that has lots of confidence in the things he does.X3 He is a humble man who never forgets his roots. That's the impression I have of him. Yeap, a lot of people mistake confidence for arrogance, but those are two different things. ;D ( ... )

Thank you for the translation, Imee. Love it! Very2 interesting too this time. I'm happy that it's less intense than the 1st chapter. I was truly amazed on what he wants to achieve, his dreams, his goal in life back in chap.1 ( ... )

^^ You are most welcome!! Haha, I'm surprised at the number and length of comments people left. ^^; I wasn't expecting it to cause so much thoughts to others. X3 Eh!? XD I prefer chp.1 to this one~ ^^ I LOVE it when he talks about his goals and views of Asia. Bring on the intensity. XD

XD I love that he said that about himself. It shows his humility. :3 I don't know if I can do that too, maybe if I try. XD But then... my mind will get restless and I feel like I need to do something with my hands. ^^;;

:D He's been saying that for some time now~

You are welcome! Ooh, thanks for reading it even though it was already late over there. ^^;

Oh, yes. I like ch.1 too, but I found it quite intense to read it at one go. I have to take time to read it thoroughly and try to digest everything without feeling very emotional. His words always make me feel emotional ^^;

Nah, I'm a night person. I rather stay awake the whole night than waking up early in the morning. But I can't do Gackt sleeping pattern though, I love sleeping too much. If I do stay awake until 3 or 4am, I end up waking up late in the day ^^; *lazy eh?*

This one was pretty interesting.. because I disagree with him for once.

Everyone wants to get hold of information and observe various things, right? But doing such a thing dulls my senses. Everybody tells me to cram all sorts of things into my mind, and check the television and what’s popular currently. But that is a huge mistake. In televisions and stuff, the creative things aren’t the ones (being shown) at that point in time.

Okay: Right. It's observing how things work. Be it the Discovery Channel or actually in a jungle, you're learning. In different ways. Observations are how most problems are solved :P He's so impetuous sometimes.

About television, yes, most of it is old and dull and crap. :D Especially reality television. It used to be so... I dunno... mind-blowing, because people were willing to put something creative into a TV show. Now it's the same mold over and over again because people ONLY want money. People don't take risks anymore. ... well, Gackt does XD

So those people who chases after the popularity of that time ( ... )

Making myself a little clearer: I don't watch TV, normally. I watch it for Harvey Birdman and that's about it. XD

I was being some sort of devil's advocate. :P

auuuugh I don't make any sense! Today was such a dreary, half-waking-state-of-consciousness day! ahhh let me rephrase..

TELEVISION: It can give you information about current world events, blah blah. Why does that matter? BECAUSE NEO-HITLER MIGHT BE TAKING OVER THE WORLD AND HE'S ABOUT TO OBLITERATE EVERYTHING YOU EVER KNEW OR CARED ABOUT. Useful tool.

Then people started using movies and tv for entertainment purposes, similar to theatre but pre-recorded and could be played over and over again, for all fun to be had.

...and then THE BACHELOR (and any other bland, tried-and-crap formulaic reality tv show) started. :( People's IQs dropped by the second. THIS IS NOT INSPIRATIONAL. THIS IS NOT IMAGINATIONAL.

I think... I remember Gackt talking about the way communications have advanced so much but our abilities to connect to people, not through an email or telephone line, but through our care for that person (or persons), that our ability to communicate and express our feelings to and for others have suffered immensely. BECAUSE of the ( ... )

I don't watch TV either, except for dramas or movies I missed in the cinema. XD Oh, I do watch America's next top model (although there are liek gazillion top models in America now with all the different seasons -__-;;) because... ME LOVES THE PHOTOSHOOT~~!!!! XD Especially when they do something pretty and unique. @____@ *paws* Prettttti.

I believe this was what he meant for that comment. XD XD

Yeap, my guess is during the Beat Motion show which I translated last May. :3 "The more advanced our life becomes, the lesser the time that parents and children have to communicate with each other"

Conflict is good, remember? XD

G: Since young, when it comes to focusing. So I’m very much aware of when I am focusing or not. I’ll daydream normally. I’ll smoke and sit in the sofa and stay like that for close to six hours. Whaa~ So much that you’ll wonder whether I’m alive or not. (laughs) During such times, it might seem like I’m daydreaming, but a lot of things are going through my mind. So I’m actually focusing on the thoughts. It only seems like I’m daydreaming because I’m not moving. I’m like a genius in a sense. If you categorize it broadly…… an idiot!?

Interesting... Something came up in my mind when I read this. I was reading into Lao Tze a couple of months ago (ancient Chinese philosopher ^^;;) and one thing that I always remembered(more for the hilarity of it than the wisdom, I have to confess) was this saying. "Achieve everything by doing nothing." ^____^

G: Yes, that’s right. I think that’s one’s normal form. What you discover after being driven to a corner and what you do with that discovery afterwards is very important. In short, you come to ( ... )

Ooh, Lao Tze~~ :D Are you studying Chinese philosphy? Hmm, it seems to be a rather popular thought, judging from the comments I have received. ^^ Some people have mentioned similar thoughts by their relatives and such ( ... )

Nope, I'm not studying Chinese philosophy but just reading a lot into it lately. That and the past dynasties of China. It's a little bit sad that China doesn't have an emperor anymore, but that's probably for the better good of the future of China. The bad side to it though, is that old cultures will probably die out soon.

Sorry, going a bit off topic XD
