Feb 18, 2006 23:28

The article this time is really short, I promise. XD Sorry for the long delay, but here's chapter 2.

He talks a little bit more about REDEMPTION and the collaboration with FF7. ^^ I hope you'll enjoy the article~

I so agree with him, about what he said about other musicians. I been guilty of mocking alot of TV programs LOL. I think my imagination hasn't been not there for a while, but I do daydream sometimes. Thanks for translating ^___^.

"So those people who chases after the popularity of that time will not be able to create anything new. That is why I don’t have a television at home."
I so agree, you know how much singer I see mocking each other, one right after another. For example theres beyonce then > ciara > then rihanna. It's a repeat of the same person, I am not evening going to get started on MJ to much people mocks him LOL.Well at least Gackt knows, and understand this XDD YAY.

I love what he said about "Longing" and "Redemption", too. Really interesting~!

Eternal peace~ I don't think I cna logicly believe in such a thing. Humans are another type of animals, and animals do not even have peace between themselves. They have balance (for the most part), but not peace.

I have a tv, though I don't use it to watch anything other tha two tv shows, movies, and play my video games~ I can understand what he's talking about there.

You know, if I have an idea, it's always out of the blue. I don't have to go out to wake walks, or even be alone. Ideas just *whap* come regardless of the situation, which can get annoying ^^;

Me too!! o____o I love it when he goes into details about his songs~ ^^

How about peace within themselves? ^^ When I envision eternal peace, I've always seen it as achieving peace in your heart. I think that's when you would truly be happy with what you have and satisfied with life.

Hehehe, for me it's always when I'm thinking of something. Thinking mode. XD Or before I go to bed because my brain is most active during that period. Weird huh? X3

Hm, internal peace, as a peace within themselves, I can see. Of course, every so often that peace needs to be disrupted. We're human, and that's the sort of stuff that really makes us go forward, and live.

Me too! Like, I' really tired and ready to go to sleep, but I just keep thinking. I keep a small blank book next to my bed, so that I can write any good ideas down if I have any when I'm in bed.

Hehehe.. it's your favorite (?) Diablo here to thank you for a translation again~! X3 BUT: you tricked me into thinking that this was a short post (though I should have known better)! >O

XD I gotta say, Gackt's philosophical perspectives are very thought-provoking. I actually read this more than a few times to try and grasp the true meaning of his words. (.. well, and so that I won't leave ditzy comments...^^;)

The interviewer felt that Redemption was "hopeless, dejected, pained". I, on the other hand (and after reading C_sraed's translation XD), thought otherwise. To me the lyrics were meant to be a conveyance of power and encouragement, that we should live our lives every day with whatever it is that we have, even if it's not much, hacking through all the obstacles, until the day we pass on. In a sense, it sort of ties in to what Gackt previously said, that we should come up with the courage to cast our past away. We can rely on our own pasts to lend us the strength for our futures. So this stuff he's saying about life and living ( ... )

(.. but I shall defy LJ by continuing beyond 4300 XD)

On the subject of watching TV (or not) -- I've read what everyone else before has to say about this. Before I read your comments, I thought, well, what's wrong with watching TV??? As I moved on to your comments, and I thought, hmm, that's true too, a free soul has a great imagination indeed. Then I read juincoquine's comments, and I was very impressed by she said (ie, her reference to 'vampires')... very well-thought out, juincoquine's argument was, and she was trying to be my advocate. XD Hehe. j/k. Anyways, but then I also thought a little bit more about this, and I am inclined to agree with Gackt on not watching TV. The reason is that while watching TV brings you inspiration, it does not gift you with imagination. And I am interpreting inspiration as taking a pre-existing concept and expanding on it based on the artist's own views, and imagination as something that, well, basically comes out of the blue. XD Often I wonder how a person can become imaginative -- is it actually ( ... )

The reason is that while watching TV brings you inspiration, it does not gift you with imaginationBingo. ^^ Bring inspired is good, if it can inspire you to make something new. But even then, those are borrowed ideas and will be, more or less, affected by the original. Imaginative. It's just something that comes. @_@ For me, it comes when I draw. I start doodling and then an idea strikes me and I work on that. I don't think it's something you can MAKE happen; it comes when it chooses to come. Lucky folks they are who have had their fair share of that. X33 ( ... )

xDD It IS a short article! Hahaha, compare it with the other chapters and even other articles! X33

Aah, I do see it the way he does. :D When I heard REDEMPTION, it just struck me as a sad sad song. :/ It's like losing everything and not caring what happens to him anymore. In all his songs, there is always a little hope. But one line of his struck me deep. "yasashii dake no kotoba nara, ima no boku wa iyasenai." Kind words alone cannot heal me. In his other songs, there would at least be something that the character is looking forward to. A memory of the past, a glimpse of the future. There is something But in this song, absolutely nothing. It is about losing everything and at the depths of misery. The only reason he is fighting is because of revenge and because he is the only one left. And if he is looking towards anything, it's his own death and final reunion with his love/comrade/friends again. So yeah. This song has got to be the saddest song in MOON to date ( ... )
