A few more stories to go!!

Jul 26, 2008 03:52

Hi everyone... I am terribly sorry about the past few days and the lack of updates. I moved to Germany three days ago from the US and for some reason I thought I would just be able to hop onto my computer that night, with complete disregard to the fact that moving is kind of crazy thing, especially when you are moving to an entirely different ( Read more... )

I did wonder! I'm glad everything is okay and you are not dead/hospitalised/being held hostage by insane Chad/Taylor shippers (I'm paranoid when people disappear, did you notice?)

haha, thankfully nothing of that sort happened! I'm alive and well. Enjoy the rest of the fest :)

Yeah, I was wondering, too. I thought that maybe we're already at the end of posting and I hadn't noticed.
Glad to know that there are a few more stories to come.
And I also wanted to say: Welcome to Germany! My wonderful mothercountry. Did you move back here (I mean are you originally German and only were in the States for a while) or are you an American now living in Germany? Either way... welcome! I'm always happy when I meet other ones from Germany here. Hope you like it.

Thank you! I am an American now living in Germany who knows a seriously pathetic amount of German. I am here as an au pair, looking to maybe take some German classes and try to pick up some of the language. I am living in Wiesbaden and it is absolutely amazing -- where are you from? I have been to various places through out Germany at this point and it amazes me how much I love it...I may even make the move permanent one day.

I was only in Wiesbaden overnight, 11 years ago, but from what I recall it was just lovely.

Wiesbaden, I see. I've never been there, well maybe I passed through it by train once but I don't think so. It's too far south. I live in Bonn (the former capital) but originally I'm from a small nest far in the north-west that very few people know (only the ones who moved from there like me).
I'm curious... why do you love Germany so much? Or, better... what do you love about it? I mean, it's okay I guess but I've been here all my life so I'd like to know what foreign people think and like about the country.

Yeah, I was just thinking I should send you an e-mail and ask if, ya know, everything was okay/you needed help/smoke signals were out of the question. Hope all the craziness dies down!

Aww, thanks for your concern, and I'm very worrying for worrying everyone and delaying the fest. Hopefully, it will now be smooth sailing.

Moving to a different country is hard! I know, I did that last year. So no worries about the missed fics. Hope you are beginning to settle in!
I didn't even realize it had been that many days since you last posted because somehow the time difference distorts my perception of time as well (don't ask how, it just does. It's like extended jet lag or something).

Thanks for your support! And oh man, jet lag. I always thought it was kind of a myth and that people who complained about it were wimpy but OMG. It is so painful right now.

Eh, the Europe-US and India-Europe jet lags are tolerable -- well, haven't ever had it too bad. But India-US... painful!
