Dwiggie Travel Curse lives on, alas. This is the third time I've taken this train in the past year, and while when I went to DC it arrived here on time and in DC half an hour early, both trips to NY were delayed by more than two hours. When the scheduled departure time is 3:30AM, that's kind of an issue.

Audra McDonald starting previews as Billie Holiday the week I'll be there. Reconsidering whether I want to spend half of my show slots on McKellan/Stewart after all, or if just one will suffice.
I may have almost preferred when there seemed to be nothing especially worth seeing when I'll be there. (Well...no. But made my life easier.)

Turns out you can use points from a variety of travel programs to get free tickets to some shows, so I used nearly all of my dad's Starwood points on a ticket for Waiting for Godot. First season where I haven't hated/been completely bored by the second episode. In fact, I liked that one the best of the entire show to date. McKellan and Stewart have been extended to March 30! So now I just have to decide whether to pay full price, take a chance on TKTS (unlikely, for the last few performances given the cast), or get up super early for rush. But still!

I'm going back to New York the last weekend in March. (I had to pick specific dates in November because my department allows only a few people to take off any given day, and that's when they first accept leave requests for the following year.
