What a weekend. It was the Dobie trial in Ridgefield and I was going to take Dottie but the forecast called for heavy rains, wind and possible flooding so she stayed home. It was a big weekend. Bea and I took Dottie up to Champoeg State Park and spent four nights. I did all the driving, Bea slept. It was my first solo outing and I had some anxiety about the whole thing but we got there safe and sound. Unfortunately this time I had electrical issues so had to run the lights off the battery. Yesterday I went to WAG's CPE trial in Corvallis.  I wasn't sure what the footing would be like because it was a horror show at the last trial but I can report it was great footing. WAG worked hard with the fairgrounds managment and they actually fixed the problem. And that second set of bleachers wasn't there either. Oh gee darn ( Read more... )

After 3 years of blood, sweat and tears, Dottie had her maiden voyage. A dear friend came for a visit and it was a perfect time to head out for a trial run. Dottie's come home. Three years after finding her sitting forlorn and lonely on a street in Salem, after countless hours, days, and months of work, she's come home. This weekend was the first agility trial I've been to in many, many weeks. I've missed it. And since I've also missed many classes due to heat cancellations and travel, things didn't go as smoothly as I'd hope. Bea continues to feel very ambivalent about those weaves.

Mystery solved on the Maxx fan. It was indeed a bad computer board. That was replaced and she hums along very refreshingly and nicely quiet. Other little picky things:
