my hilarious students......

today after doing their assignment i asked them to write down any advice they had for me about dating, since i have a date tonight.

here, in all their glory, they are reproduced, all errors intact.

OMG, that is priceless. I do love the advice to "try not to have sex." Because, like, if you don't make an effort, it just happens between the main course and dessert.

Angsting about smiling too much on a date is exactly what a teenager would do. I do not miss it!

This actually made me laugh out loud, at a Starbucks in Washington DC where I know no one. I love when you post stuff like this! I'm glad I didn't go into teaching, because it really would have been wrong for me - but this reminds me of why I wanted to get into it in the first place, the kids have SO much personality.
