Exactly eight months after I left the US, I'm home.

For those that didn't know, I deployed to Kuwait as part of a six month rotation in April. That would mean I'm coming home in October. However, the Army, in it's infinite wisdom and organization, has decided to realign my brigade and split up my batallion. So it's been cold here for the last couple days, which isn't exactly out of the ordinary considering it's still technically winter. But snow in March, fifteen miles from the Arizona/Mexico border is. The irony that I had to move from Dallas to a desert state to see snow isn't lost on me

As it stands right now, I am scheduled to leave Arizona on April 16 and deploy to Kuwait. I have no idea how I'm going to tell my parents about this...

Ten weeks and four days after leaving Texas for Basic Combat Training in Ft. Benning, GA, I have graduated. The two months have been especially trying at times, but I'm a better (and twenty pounds lighter) person for having accomplished it. Now it's on to my advanced training.

I am an American Soldier.

I'll be in Ft. Benning, Georgia for the next ten weeks or so and then on to Ft. Gordon for another eighteen. Wish me luck!

May 19th is a long time from now. Too long.

I usually visit KryptonSite three or four times a week to see what news and spoilers Craig has posted, but, until Sunday, I hadn't posted or even really looked at the message boards since they were switched to this new version. My first post in over a year and who replies? A troll. /sigh
