Quick Observation on the whole election thing

 After sweeping the U.S. House, gains in the U.S. Senate, taking both of the houses in the MN legislature, and garnering a close enough call in the Governor's race that it will likely go to a mandatory recount, the GOP state chair, Tony Sutton, had a public fit about the results of the governor's race.

His whole "OMG, there must be shenanigans!" BS is infuriatingly laughable. No, it couldn't POSSIBLY be that large numbers of voters found Emmer repugnant enough that they voted for Horner instead...

What really gets me are the apologists who are saying, "Oh, he's just trying to rally the base for the long haul of the fight."

No, he's being an ass. A divisive, partisan ass. Behavior like this should be unacceptable on any front, from any party. People complain about a sharply divided electorate, yet fall all over themselves justifying utter, factually flawed B.S. like this. If you want standards in politics, you need to expect and enforce them; not defend egregious five-year-old name calling and foot stomping just because you didn't get the basket along with all of the candy.
