Gosh...my life is so darn boring.

It seems like I just have one deadline after the other and now I'm falling behind because I lack strength of will. For the past 10 hrs, I have been sitting in front of a computer typing articles OTHER PEOPLE are supposed to write. It's not that I mind the writing, I mind the fact that I shouldn't be the one DOING

Yeah. Ditto what Grant said.

And at your next board meeting, publicly praise those who did do their job. Indirectly making them feel guilt is a good thing. :) And yeah, you should definitely NOT have to write those things for them. (Yeah, I'm a hypocrite because I ended up doing the same thing, but still...) Let your exec board know that no one's helping you. Have them join you in remidning them about articles. Turn it into a team effort. It might help you some.
