NaNoWriMo- Halfway there
Well, more than halfway for me. I'll definitely be hitting 50K today, which is really exciting. I'm thinking that this novel will reach completion around 75K-80K, which is such a relief after last year's beast. My alpha readers are really enjoying the story. This is a very good thing. NaNo is Coming!! NaNo is Coming!!
I have been impatiently waiting for this since December 1st of last year. Last November, I fell in love with NaNoWriMo. This is due both to the excitement of churning out a novel in 30 days, and with the fantastic people I met and wrote with. Lost
This summer was supposed to be filled with writing and editing. I've done virtually none of either. I don't know what to do. :( -
Icon making fool
So, string camps have consumed my life for the last three weeks. This is a very good thing for me, but not so good for my writing/editing. No excuses this time. I just simply haven't had the energy to properly go about editing The Man, and therefore, I haven't tried. It's official.
Empty Houses will be my NaNo novel for 2010. I can barely even get myself to open my Word doc for The Man, and all I'm doing with that is editing. I tend to get this way in the summer; in a kind of slump I just can't shake. Part of it has to do with the fact that I'm going to be working at two different camps over the next two weeks. Going with the flow
I've been trying to write Empty Houses. Really, I have. And it hasn't been going well. I like what I've written, but each sentence has to be pulled from me. I'm writing less than half of what I was doing during sprints in November. In short, it isn't working.
