So due to the shifting in responsibilities at work, someone other than my manager is working on my goals & objectives for next year. Not thrilled about it, but little I can do to prevent it. So after 2 hours of discussing with the school that my kid is not a candidate for Aspergers, we took a break to regroup. They will not concede that a kid can have an IQ of 131 and might have different social/emotional needs than an average student. I've been telling the school that for years now. Big surprise. The boy gets 98-99% on every damn standardized test they throw at him. Nope..dumb as a box of rocks. Glad to know that they can recognize intelligence when they see it. I know it's just because they are ( Read more... )
