Obviously the person writing the original article has never actually experienced any of those careers. Since when is desktop support or nursing considered a "zen" career ( Read more... )

a) First post-PSAT "college" mailing I ever got was from the Nashville Auto-Diesel College. :)

b) C'mon, there's even a book, "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". You've never read it, have you? :)

No, but I did bother to Wikipedia the book before referencing it. I'm aware it's not really intended as a source for information about either Zen Buddhism or motorcycles, much less the two together, but given the amount of research the Yahoo article writer put into the 8 choices it seemed like a mere book title would've been sufficient argument for any of those careers had the author thought of it. I decided not to let a little thing like content or fact get in the way of a pithy comment. ;)
