ha. You could say that. She is a heartless control freak that is angry at me for not coming to work the day after the accident. Every time I update her, she treats me like I'm playing hooky. She even tried to contact my surgeon behind my back to convince him to release me to work the day after my surgery! I try to let go and let her issues be her own, but she has a need to break people and does not let up until they either submit or blow up. It's frustrating that I have to continue to work for her until I'm well. Deep breaths. :)

my friend in the rollerderby found this out about me just yesterday. apparently she wiped out practicing in the park over the weekend and skinned the entire side of her left leg. she came over to my desk all giddy to show it to me because she thought (because i love horror movies) i would be like "HEY GROSS! COOOL!" - - but instead i was all, "HEY GROSS! PLEASE TAKE IT AWAY!"

I'm glad you insisted upon talking and showing the difference between what they THOUGTH you could/should do and what is actually happening with you. Doctors tend to forget that sometimes things don't go "as planned" and the human body can sometimes go in a different direction. I'm hoping it's a minor thing that will be easily overcome for you. But I know you'll be at least typing and driving soon enough. If you need help, to be driven or babysitting, you KNOW you can call me. I'm not doing much these days except growing.

*hugs*

My mom broke her wrist about 3 years ago...it was so crazy because she had gone her entire life doing all sorts of things and then she falls off a ladder! It was around Thanksgiving and she was really annoyed that she couldn't cook and everything.
It did take a good bit of physical therapy and alot of belief that the doctors always tell the you worst possible scenario. She had the 'smaller arm' thing like you've noticed and was VERY stiff in the wrist and fingers. I remember her being scared that things wouldn't go back to normal. But she was very determined and for the most part she's back to her old self...and she's in her 60s!

So I bet you will be fine...do the therapy and don't let 'em scare you ;)
