Today I built bridges of peace between Israel and Palestine (okay, not really, but I do what I can)
then I spent a long time pointedly ignoring someone who could not have cared less that I was ignoring him
then I danced to Israeli hip hop, and ate a delicious delicious thing with pita and hummus and avocado.

Time well spent, I would say.

It's a little alarming how little of this weekend I've spent outside of my room, or in the company of human beings, or doing anything except lying in bed and reading. I thought that being home would make me feel better about life, but actually I feel the same except that I now have nothing to look forward to.

Tonight I went to a party in hopes of meeting up with some people I know, and ended up spending the evening in the company of my African history professor and a funny gay South African man with a striking resemblance to Christopher Hitchens. Strange times, college, strange times.
