I was going to read the whole thing (I mean, I am of course....going to read the whole thing.) and then comment at the end but as I'm sitting here, stewing in angst and awwwws and laughter and did-my-heart-just-jump-off-a-bridge-ness, I had to comment because this sequel is awesome.

Not good awesome like, oh hey, I just found ten $20 bills in my jeans. More like, I just stepped in a bear trap and my cell phone is dead. Awesome.

And not because of the writing or anything. As always, it's superb and amazing. No, this story is bear trap awesome because of the #@$*&! angst. (Though a little part of me loved Kahlan's jealousy. I don't know what's wrong with me.) It's achy angst and I have no idea if you fix it in the other chapters so *curtsy* sorry if you do and I'm blabbering over the angst here, but for right now, for this chapter? Bear trap awesome.

My battered heart and I are headed forth to the next chapter(s).... *gives you the squinty eyes*

O_O Oh my god... I want to write a fic that leads to finding ten 20$ bills in my pocket. I'd be so freaking happy; but I can deal with the bear trap stepping and your phone being dead and you being stuck in the middle of nowhere. I mean that wasn't there... but it might as well be for what is to come, and you know I'm not talking about parts 2 and 3.

I think your love of Kahlan's jealousy is like... you know... because it's hot. Simple as that.

I suppose you could say I fix it... temporarily with duct tape.

That's just.....it's just.....mean. Mean, you big ol' meanie. You can deal with me being stuck in a bear trap with a dead cell phone in the middle of nowhere. I CAN'T. Have you ever been in the middle of nowhere before? The coffee suuuuucks.

Okay, okay look....if I am willing to stick my poor little leg in a bear trap in the middle of nowhere and then drain my battery on my cell phone looking for ringtones even though they never have anything I really want, will you promise that even if you shred my heart with a cheese grater from 1741 (they totes had them back then), you'll make it better at some point? Angst without resolution is just wrong. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's mentioned somewhere in the Geneva Convention.

Haha, I -live- in the middle of nowhere, we regularly get cut off from civilization due to the -weather-.

But that's how I roll, I shred your heart in a dull and rusty cheese grater from 1741 and then make it better in the end.

I am embarrassingly behind on fic, and STILL I CANNOT BELIEVE I MISSED THIS.

I am so so incredibly glad you brought this world back! I cannot get enough of Sonia and Sam, and Cara as a mom? OMG. Like I didn't already want to smish her enough.

Oh Sam and Sonia and mom!Cara are here to stay, trust me - and those two twins will be making an appearance in the xover I'm writing right now.

She's so smishable... srly, I can't even. She's like the third most huggleable Mord'Sith out there.

There really should have been another tissue warning on this one, I mean seriously, for the first paragraph! Those silly wisps she so does not deserve a second chance...Cara seems happy with Dahlia and I think Dahlia's doing a fine job of filling in on the mothering necessities, screw Kahlan.

I love the way you handle the cute little sex questions from the kids, so well done with Cara's reactions.

While I (like everyone else) enjoyed "A Christmas Carol" this is so much better as I can relate to Kahlan so much more than the nineteenth century skinflint British asshole.

Haha, I had to reread to figure out where you were in the story so I didn't wind up giving anything away.

Personally, I'm stuck between Kahlan deserving the se one chance and not because... well ;) she goes through a lot on her side of the story as well that you'll find out in the next installment of this epic saga. That and I think everyone deserves a second chance but she really kind of broke Cara's heart.

Then again, Cara also has a few things up her sleeve yet to come out for everyone one to see. Not everything is as it seems. Trust me ;)
