Mmm, nice job pointing out the huge faultlines in Mer and Derek's relationship. I love the show but I hate the way they constantly let each other down.

End of last season, Christina was finally starting to get it, that her husband should be 'her person' - I'm betting the plane crash will wipe out all that progress. OTOH, the crash may end up bringing Meredith and Derek closer together. Who knows. *shrugs*

(I don't mean to be an apologist for Meredith, but I wish Derek was a little more understanding about the trial. Richard put so much pressure on her to include Adele; the guy is her mentor and practically her stepdad, I can see why Meredith caved).
