"...Percy now rests in pieces under the Fluffy room. This is funny, apparently."

Well, I'll be damned if that isn't a fitting way to describe Weasley bashing in a nutshell.

"Because apparently a dentist knows more about being a teacher than the actual teacher."

For a second, I had no idea what you were talking about. Then I remembered that this was the by-product of the "Name Hermione's parents after the movie actors to further prove how Harmony is all-powerful" cliché, and remembered all the reasons why I really hated Harmonians.

'Emma pushed some more, "There will be thousands of people here, from all corners of the world, they won't stand out that much.'

'WHAT!" this was all Neville managed to say before a siren sounded and they shot out of there at great speed.'

'Tracy Davis had been physically flung about, turned upside down on more than one occasion and nearly been sick three times, she'd just had one of the best days of her life!'

Grammar so bad, it makes characters seem like extreme masochists!

"I don't think the Marauders go in for indoctrination"

I hadn't even known they liked Mass Effect.

I was only thinking today that I was overdue a Mass Effect replay, and completely missing the chance for an indoctrination joke confirmed it. Again, well caught.

"At least he doesn't make Millicent a rapist this time. Or a waifish Purity Sue prophetess like in Deserving."

Still, turning a throwaway Pansy Parkinson copy into Neville's eventual sex slave? Really doesn't feel the least bit kosher.

"Which puts an interesting spin on that reviewer asking whether TLW was going to be a time-travel fic, as well as the fact that almost all of the (few) positive reviews of it also seem to have ITWATN in their favourites. It's an interesting connection indeed."

Why. Just, why. Why is it that there is no one on FF.net that has taste?

Dammit, why am I stealing SBK's "stream-of-consciousness" commenting style?

On a distantly related note, I will never like giving any character nicknames like "Penny".

I wonder if people created "Mione" because Hermione sounded too long to remember without breaking escapism? Maybe that's the real subtext behind "B'loody Mary Smith"?

"Penny" is at least canon. And, unlike "Mione" and the like, a name someone would actually use.

"Mione" doesn't make sense from an abbreviation standpoint, though, because of how it includes the majority of syllables from "Hermione", anyway. "Herm", I understand, but not "Mione."
